Caleb McCreary: Montgomery Catholic’s QB rushed for 251 yards and 5 TDs on just 10 carries and hit 6-of-8 passes for 131 yards and 2 more TDs in a 72-15 win over Montgomery Academy.

Anthony Rogers: The sophomore running back rushed for 200 yards and 4 TDs on just 8 carries in a 52-8 win over Park Crossing.

A classic in Evergreen, Hillcrest scores and gets the 2-point conversion for a 29-28 win over Mobile Christian. The Leopards are now 0-7 after having to forfeit their four wins earlier in the season. A playoff trip will be a tough ask now.

9:35 PM, Not all blowouts:

In Fairhope, Foley kicks a short FG with 1:42 left and has rallied to lead 7A No. 2 Fairhope 39-38. Can Caden Creel rally the Pirates to another last-second win. Foley’s go-ahead FG was set up by Alabama junior WR commit Perry Thompson’s interception.

9:27 PM, Thompson holds on: Warriors escape with a 14-12 win over Hewitt-Trussville. Hewitt scored with 1:37 left on Peyton Floyd’s 4-yard run. However, Thompson’s Anquon Fegans intercepted the 2-point attempt. The Warriors then covered the onsides kick to preserve the win. Good game in Alabaster.

Also it’s over in Auburn. Tigers with an impressive second half, win 51-29 over rival Opelika.

In Auburn, it’s a great one as expected. No. 1 Tigers and No. 9 Bulldogs tied 21-21. Auburn went 96 yards for a TD on a fake field goal. Will Best hits Clyde Pittman for 20 yards. Pittman then hit Ean Nation for the 2-point conversion with 12 seconds left in the half.

In Fairhope, the second-ranked Pirates have a tenuous 25-22 lead over Foley after a TD reception from Alabama junior wide receiver commit Perry Thompson.
